Overview: Displaying a web application summary

If you are considering whether to add a web application and security policies to the Application Security Manager™, you can view a summary of the web applications and active security policies currently running on the system. You can see whether the Real Traffic Policy Builder® is enabled for each security policy, and see how many entities are in each policy. The summary information may help determine if it is feasible to add more web applications to the system.

Note: The number of web applications your system can handle depends on many factors including the platform on which you are running the BIG-IP® system, the size and complexity of the security policies that secure the applications, the amount of application traffic on the system, and the networking configuration.

Displaying a web application summary

You can display a summary of the web applications and active security policies currently running on Application Security Manager™.
  1. On the Main tab, click Application Security > Web Applications. The Web Application List opens showing all active web applications on the system.
  2. On the menu bar, click Web Application Summary. The Web Application Summary screen opens.
The Web Application Summary screen shows the total number of web applications on the system, and includes details about the number of active security policies, policy elements, and whether Real Traffic Policy Builder® is enabled.
