The iOS Edge Client version 1.0.4 includes the fixes and feature enhancements listed. Users should download this new version from the iTunes store or directly from the Apple website.
This release contains the following enhancements.
|The Edge Client now supports IPv6 servers and tunnels, on iOS 5 only.
|The Edge Client for iOS now includes a localized user interface for English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
|High resolution graphics are now available on the new iPad retina display.
|Edge Client for iOS includes support for an endpoint check to determine whether the device is jailbroken. This functionality is not yet implemented on the server.
|Previously, a VPN tunnel could not be established with an iOS device if the access policy for the virtual server included a client SSL Profile that required a client certificate. Now, such a connection can be established.
|In a previous release, if a user cancelled the Edge Client for iOS without enabling VPN functionality, on subsequent application starts, VPN functionality was not available and could not be enabled. Now, VPN functionality can be enabled after it has been previously cancelled or disabled.
|Previously, very high port numbers, such as 65200, were displayed incorrectly in the Edge Client. Now those port numbers are displayed correctly.
|In a previous release, some VPN connections using DTLS would fail intermittently. Now those connections are maintained.
|Previously, a user would have to select the server configuration to use from the connection list when starting the Edge Client for iOS. Now, the last-used server configuration is automatically selected.
|Previously, a DTLS connection in Edge Client displayed as TLSv1/SSLv3. DTLS now returns either TLSv1 or SSLv3, and DTLSv1, as appropriate.
