Features and enhancements in 2.0.7

ID Number Description
358480 Edge Client now has a desktop widget that allows one-click VPN connect and disconnect.
360230 Previous versions of Edge Client for Android support client certificates for SSL tunnels. Android Edge Client 2.0.7 supports client certificates for DTLS tunnels as well as SSL tunnels.
381869 The Edge Client UI for Android devices is now optimized to support both smartphones and tablets.
481025 Edge Client now has improved diagnostics, collecting and displaying the following information:
  • Network information, including Wifi, cellular addresses (IPv4/IPv6), DNS information, routing tables, and proxy
  • Device ID and device model
  • The OS version, client type, build number, and OpenSSL version are included in the troubleshooting report
  • Tunnel information of the connected VPN
  • Per-App VPN app list
  • Verify APM server reachability
400241 Edge Client now supports client certificates from device credential storage for authentication. Users can now use Edge Client to select existing certificates from the device credentials storage or add a new certificate from the local storage. This feature works only with RSA private key, and does not work with FIPS mode enabled. This feature is not supported on Android 4.1.
478749 Edge Client now shows an authentication error message when the user is prompted to log on and an error occurs.
480276 Android introduced Routing Policy Database to make routing decisions. Edge Client now prints the routing table database for troubleshooting.
481028 Users can start and stop Edge Client Lite by typing a URL into the browser. Edge Client Lite presents Edge Client with a blank white user interface with no branding. Connection messages and logon fields are presented on the white background.
484290 The Network Access resource option "Provide client certificate on Network Access connection when requested" is now supported for tunnel connections, including SSL and DTLS.
496212 Previously, Edge Client supported the ClientCertID parameter to authenticate the client certificate previously imported by the AddCertificate command. Now, Edge Client provides an alias for existing certificates from the Android KeyChain.
484287 Edge Client now supports devices with 64-bit CPU.
484550 Edge Client now has per-app VPN support for Android 5.0.

Known issues in 2.0.7

ID Number Description
451826 When Edge Client uses split tunneling for traffic, after establishing a VPN connection, all DNS queries are sent to the VPN-configured enterprise DNS server.
490570 Edge Client fails to connect if it was reinstalled after a successful connection. This is an issue on Android 5.0 that causes connections to fail after reinstalling the Edge Client application. To work around this issue, reboot the Android device.

Fixes in 2.0.7

ID Number Description
481245 Previously, Edge Client failed to log on if the domain cookie setting was set in the access profile. This issue is now fixed.
